Ravenel Bridge Nightscape

Out in the boat early one morning, the artist was able to capture one of the most beautiful sunrises that he has ever seen in Charleston. The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge makes an iconic centerpiece for this image.

SUNSET SURPRISE

LIMEHOUSE SUNSET
MORRIS ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
The Morris Island Lighthouse stands on the southern side of the entrance to Charleston Harbor, north of the City of Folly Beach. This inactive lighthouse is unusual in that it now stands several hundred feet offshore. When constructed in 1876 the light was approximately 1,200 feet from the edge of America.

RANTOWLES CREEK
BEN SAWYER SUNSET As if an artist was painting it in front of his eyes, the artist captured this stunning image of large exaggerated rays of the sun streaming out as the sun set behind the Ben Sawyer Bridge connecting Sullivans Island to Mt. Pleasant.

FOLLY SHRIMP BOATS Unfortunately, these images will be a thing of the past in years to come. What once was a place filled with shrimp boats everywhere you could see water, is now all but barren. The shrimping way of life is quickly changing and the low cost of shrimp combined with the rising fuel costs are driving shrimpers out of the Charleston area.
